Guide to Intention
Intention is at the heart of witchcraft, but it is often misunderstood.
Intention is not about forcing outcomes or controlling situations. It is not about wishing something into existence or demanding results.
Intention is about awareness and choice.
To set an intention means to decide how you want to move through a moment, a situation, or a practice.
It is a way of focusing your attention and energy toward something meaningful to you.
An intention can be simple.
It might be a desire for clarity, calm, protection, or understanding.
It does not need to be dramatic or perfectly worded. What matters is that it feels honest and the strongest.
Intention works best when it is paired with responsibility.
You are not asking something outside yourself to fix your life for you. Instead, you are choosing how you will engage with what is already present.
In this space, intention is always personal.
You are encouraged to set intentions that support your well being and growth, rather than intentions that attempt to influence others.
You may set intentions silently, write them down, speak them aloud, or simply hold them in your awareness. There is no single correct method.
Intention is a practice that strengthens over time. The more you work with it gently and honestly, the more natural it becomes.
